Driving Glocal Citizen Assistant Professor Siraya Sitthisarn, PhD Vice President (Student Affairs and Social Engagement) Thaksin University Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Dear Esteem Guests, Distinguished Delegates, and Students, On behalf of Thaksin University, I am deeply honored and delighted to welcome all of you to the 24 IMT-GT Varsity Carnival 2025, a truly meaningful event that reflects the vitality of youth and the strong cooperation among the member institutions of the IMT-GT network. th The IMT-GT Varsity Carnival is not only a platform for competitions in sports, arts, culture, and academics, but also a space for learning, building friendship, and fostering mutual understanding among young people from the three participating countries. I firmly believe this event will help strengthen unity and peaceful coexistence within the ASEAN region’s multicultural society, dismantling barriers of race, language, and religion and opening doors to becoming global citizens with deep local roots. Finally, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all participating universities, as well as the organizing committees, staff members, and volunteers for their dedication and collaboration in making this event successful.
